Bíblia Davar is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Information Stored by the App

The app stores the following information locally on your device:

• User Preferences: Language settings, theme preferences (light/dark mode), reader appearance (such as font, text size, and colors), selected Bible versions, and reading progress
• Saved Content: Favorite verses you save within the app
• Downloaded Content: Bible versions you choose to download for offline access

Important: This information is stored on your device. We do not collect, access, or have visibility into your preferences, favorites, or reading progress.

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Device identifiers for tracking or advertising
• Location data
• Usage statistics or analytics
• Account information (the app does not require an account)

How Your Information is Used

Your information is used by the app locally on your device to:

1. Provide Bible reading functionality
2. Remember your preferences, reading progress, and favorites
3. Enable offline access to downloaded Bible versions

We do not have access to this information and do not use it for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

Data Storage

Preferences, favorites, reading progress, and downloaded Bible files are stored locally on your device using Android storage. We do not operate a backend that stores your personal information.

Depending on your device settings, Android Auto Backup may include some app data in your Google account backup. That backup is managed by Google according to your device and account settings; we do not receive that data.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or trade your personal information with anyone.

If you choose to share a verse or export favorites, the content you select is sent only to the app or service you pick (for example, messaging or email apps). That sharing is initiated by you.

Third-Party Services

To display Bible text, the app may download publicly available Bible files over the internet. Some files are hosted on GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com), from the public thiagobodruk/bible dataset. Others are hosted on eBible.org (ebible.org).

When your device requests these files, the hosting provider may process standard technical information (such as IP address and request metadata) under its own policies. We do not send your name, email, favorites, preferences, or other personal profile data with these requests.

Search is performed on your device using downloaded or cached Bible content. Search queries are not sent to a remote search API.

Your Rights

You can delete all app data at any time by:

1. Uninstalling the app, or
2. Clearing app data through your device's Settings

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect any changes.

Age Rating

This app is suitable for all ages. There is no age restriction for using Davar Bible.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our app is designed to be safe for children. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable privacy principles under GDPR:

• No Advertising: This app does not display any advertisements
• No Data Collection from Children: We do not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children under 13
• Appropriate Content: All content (Bible verses) is appropriate for children
• Local User Data: Preferences, favorites, reading progress, and downloads are stored on the device. We do not collect personal information from children. Bible text may be downloaded from public content hosts when needed for reading or offline use; this does not include personal information about the child
